With some help I was able to track down the supposedly defunct Multiblue Bluetooth HID Dongle in Korea. It’s been rebranded as EasyBlue, but this is in fact the same hardware as seen on Mr. Robot, the David Bombal videos featuring OccupyTheWeb, and Occupy’s “Hack Like Mr. Robot” series of classes! In an episode of Mr. Robot, Eliot uses this device to spoof a bluetooth device already associated with a squad car’s laptop. He then blindly sends keystrokes to the computer (kind of like a bad USB would, but wirelessly over BT). OccupyTheWeb demonstrates this attack (for educational purposes only) using the aforementioned HID Bluetooth dongle along with software tools such as hciconfig, hcitools, and spooftooph.

If you’re following along with OccupyTheWeb’s classes and are interested in purchasing one, please contact me here or in the cyberspacemanmike Discord channel. If you don’t want to do a group purchase and afford to go it alone, contact me for a quote. In the meantime, check out other hacking hardware (like the Pwnagotchi) in this youtube series and in these posts!
